About Me
Hi, I’m Sara.
My practice is here to support adults struggling with trauma, disordered eating, body image issues, depression, and anxiety, which has impacted their relationships with others, themselves, and the way they see the world. I’m dedicated to helping individuals resolve their trauma using bottom up approaches. I have extensive experience using modalities which help release body memory of trauma.
I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client who crosses my path. I integrate a blend of somatic embodiment practices and traditional talk therapy to help unburden you from your suffering. It is important for me to create a space free from fatphobic and oppressive ideas and beliefs and one that generates inclusivity for all individuals regardless of identity.
Sometimes, my sense of humor may come out in session. Although, therapy can be challenging and involve some heavy topics I believe it is important to be able to laugh at times when appropriate. The power of laughter is amazing! I hope you are able to laugh with me.
Therapeutic approaches
I have a background in Authenticity therapy, BrainSpotting, Brief Solution Oriented Trauma Resolution Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Body Based Modalities for trauma treatment. I strive to be as holistic as possible in my therapy approach as everything is interconnected.
I’m dedicated to helping individuals resolve their trauma using bottom up approaches. I have extensive experience using modalities such as Brief solution Oriented Trauma Resolution, BrainSpotting, and Flash to resolve body memory of trauma.
In the treatment of eating disorders and body image issues I work from a HAES lense. This approach often challenges individuals to unlearn conditioned ideas and beliefs which are oppressive and rooted in harmful ideologies
